Guarantee
Every GLATT product carries a two-year guarantee from the delivery date, covering manufacturing and material faults. If the heating element fails, the handle stops locking, or the plate coating lifts, we replace the unit. No proof of purchase gymnastics — the order number is enough. This sits alongside your statutory rights under EU consumer law, it doesn't replace them.
Not covered: damage from being dropped, descaling neglect, or use on a voltage the product isn't rated for.
Returns
Thirty days from delivery, for any reason or none. Send it back in a condition you'd accept yourself and we refund the full amount to the original payment method within five working days of it arriving. Return shipping within the EU is on us for faults, and on you for changes of mind.
Looking after it
- Water. Distilled or filtered where you can. Berlin tap water is hard and will scale the chamber faster than you'd like.
- Emptying. Tip the tank out while the unit is still warm, then run it dry for thirty seconds before folding it away. Water left standing is what kills small steam irons.
- Descaling. Every three months of regular use: half water, half white vinegar, steam it through over a sink, then two full tanks of clean water to flush.
- The plate. Cool, then wipe with a damp cloth. Never anything abrasive — the ceramic coating is what makes it glide.
- Storage. Fold the handle flat and let it cool completely before it goes in the pouch. Ten minutes.
