Glatt Studio started with a very long week in Berlin.
Friday evening, a flat in Neukölln, and the kind of tired where you don't want a hobby, a podcast or a plan. You want to lie in a bath and do absolutely nothing. That's the feeling we wanted to put on a shelf.
Who we are
A small studio in Berlin. We hunt for objects that make people smile, test them at home, and only sell the ones we'd give to our own friends. Every photo, every word on this site and every parcel question you send us is handled here, in Berlin.
Why the Lazy Bath Man
Germany already has a tradition of little men who breathe out smoke: the Räuchermann from the Erzgebirge. We loved the idea of giving him the evening off. No pipe, no uniform. Just a knitted beanie, a hot bath, and incense drifting out of his mouth.
Where he's made
He is shaped by hand from natural clay in a ceramic workshop we work with. Because every one is made by hand, no two look exactly the same. We'd rather tell you that honestly than pretend he's from somewhere he isn't.
